Easy Money for Emulator Version - 2007/02/10 23:20

I dont know if anyone has said this before but I didnt see it anywhere so I figured I would share something that Ive found. The easiest way to make alot of cash quick in any emulator version is to gamble. Go to the cafe and select gamble. Your opponent will ask you if you want to play him, at this point save with F5. Sorry, but I cant remember what that method of saving is called. Then select YES, that you want to gamble. When your opponent asks you to place your bet, bet the max. If you win, hit F5 again when he ask "Will you let it ride?." If you loose just hit F8 to load and repeat the process. Once again I cant remember what that method of loading is called but when I do I will post a follow up. Make sure that you let it ride as much as possible. When its all said and done you will usually walk away with about 20 gold ingots. By the way, in every new round you have the possibility of winning so dont give up, just keep reloading until you get a winning hand. Anyways I hope I explained that well enough, good luck to all this has helped.

Yeah, I used to do that myself when I just wanted to get to the good stuff (fighting and all that).

I hate how the game gets to a certain point though, where there's like nobody out on the ocean. There are like twenty sailors holed up in the capital cities forever.
Anyone ever get this?

In any case, it's a good way to make some cash so you can go out and kick butt; it may detract from the end enjoyment if you play like this all the time though. This is usually why I turn save states off in games I don't want to mess with.

Me found the blackjack game to be quite a coffer-stuffer! The only problem is the amount of times ye have to quick load back to before you fold.

Me thinks the AI cheats at blackjack too! When ye go over 21, they never seem to lose!

And fer getting lazy sailors out to sea after nobody is around, start investing everywhere in the Mediterranean, and treat those land-lubbers! That ought to get some quick prospective victims in the waters!

I have the emulator, too, but I don't do this. I just put a good crew on just ONE ship, take as many sailors I can whit me, and go fight whit the firts victim. When the battle starts, I ask the enemy commodore to a 1-on-1 fight, and save before every attack-defense. This way, I take all their ships and sell them in the nearest port (if you attack a battle fleet, the ammount you win will be bigger on the end, because their ships are sell for a high price).
ps- I do this near Ceuta, 'cause the ships than enter-out the Mediterraneo will need to pass for me
